Hi Norma,
My wife is a Craven who traces her line to Martin Craven of Ireland born about 1856. We know nothing further.
We know there are English Cravens, many of whom settled in North Carolina. But her line is Irish. We don't know if they are true Cravens or changed their name from something more Irish, such as Creahan. Were there English Cravens who moved to Ireland? Were they Catholic? English who settled in Ireland after Elizabeth I were usually Protestant.
Lot of questions. You are kind to offer help.
