If you find it difficult looking for Cotters in Co. Cork, spare a thought for those of us who are trying to trace Joneses in North Wales. Unfortunately the Y-DNA project wouldn't help you. Your grandmother would have carried her father's Y-DNA, but that would not have been passed on to succeeding generations.
