I am looking for information on the Carter Family that lived in Polstead around the 1750's onwards.

Mary Carter b. ???? had two boys John Carter b. 1771 and James Carter b. 1775 in Polstead. She was not married as far as I can tell.

John Carter married Mary Roper in 1792 and they had:

John Carter b.21st November 1792
Mary Carter b.22nd April 1794
William Carter b.6th December 1796
Sarah Carter b.9th July 1798
James Carter b.19th September 1799
Robert Carter b.9th March 1801 (transported to NSW 1824)
