I have been reading some of the queries on the message board to you. In response to Gail looking for Betsey A. Converse, she was in fact born in Fairfax, VT in 1794 and married to Hilkiah Pierce. This is from the town clerk in Fairfax. Unfortuneately, the birth record lists no parents. It is "believed" that her parents are Josiah Converse and Matilda Ayres. I have a record of her children. I am looking for Arad L. Converse. I believe he is Betsey's sister. If so they had a brother Cheney R. Josiah and Matilda were both born in Brookfield, MA and married there in 1793. However, no records of birth have been found for any of their children. Josiah's lineage is Major James Converse b.16 Nove 1645 in Woburn, MA married to Hannah Carter. Major James Converse's father was Lt. James Converse and his father was Deacon Edward Converse. Matilda's father was Onesphorus (spelling) Ayres. If you can tell me where Arad was born I can then send for a birth record.
