I hope you can help. I just starting searching and I seem to have gone back to Lauchlan Colquhoun. He had a son Archibald born 1788, who had a son John born 1827, who had a son James Archibald, a dtr. Margaret Emery, who had my mom! I would love to go further back. I do not know more than Lauchlan other than he seems to have purchased land in N.C. in 1792 and had a wife named Mary... would sure appreciate ANY info!
