This message is to both Pam and Tammy --

Pam, you know me from an extensive correspondence about the Greenwood, Maine Coles about a year ago. The info about the marriage of James Cole (son of John Cole,Jr. and Patience Barber) to Mary Tilson is from the Vital Records of Plympton. This marriage is seldom recognized in other studies of the family. It appears that James had 4 wives, and that Mary Tilson was his first (m. 16 Dec 1742). Their only child was son Hezekiah, born 8 Jan 1744. She must have died shortly after that, because he remarried in 1746. By the way, Pam, I have been working feverishly on the Greenwood Coles and have a lot of new info. Be in touch.

Tammy -- I am a direct descendant of Consider Cole, son of Joseph Cole and Ruth Sampson of Plympton. Consider was one of the many siblings from this family who moved to Maine. He lived out his life there. Is this your Consider? The information you reference does not coincide with what I have on this line. Maybe we are talking about different Considers, or maybe one or both of us has data errors. My Consider married Abijah (Abigiah, Abiah) Vaughan, dau. of Jesse Vaughan of Middleboro, MA. Can we compare notes?
