I'm trying to trace Levi Chipman back past 1804. Or even to 1804.

I have a Levi Chipman Jr born 1844, and a Levi Chipman Sr born 1804. Before that...I don't know? Most people's information seems to rely upon the Chipman books which professional genealogists say are flawed.

There is a Levi Chipman born in Johnstown, Leeds, Ontario, Canada in 1798. His paternal line before him is Amni, Amos, Thomas, Samuel Deacon, John (Who married Hope Howland), and Thomas.

Did the Chipmans of Delaware live in Canada at one point? Is that possible?
