With e-mail address changes, I thought that I was overdue in re-submitting one of my proverbial “brick walls.” This is for the CARPENTER, COLLIER and HARDESTER Families in Pulaski County, Missouri - 1850
Ancestry.Com: Source Citation: Year: 1850; Census Place: District 72, Pulaski, Missouri; Roll: M432_411; Page: 116; Image: 236.
The 1850 Federal Census for District 72 of Pulaski County shows the following persons living in the home of Solomon CARPENTER (misspelled as CAPESTANY):
Solomon CARPENTER b. about 1799 in KY
Nancy FRAMER b. TN about 1821
Lucretia (COLLIER?) CARPENTER b. about 1826 in AL or TN
Mary COLLIER b. about 1834 in IL
Catherine COLLIER b. about 1836 in IL
Davis COLLIER b. about 1840 IL, and
William T COLLIER b. about 1846 in MO.
My gg-grandfather, Henry HARDESTER (HARDISTER) married Catherine COLLIER, 16 February 1854, in Pulaski County. After her death, about 15 February 1856, he married her sister, Mary, about November 1856; she died 15 August 1861.
The marriage and death information comes from the Civil War pension file of my gg-grandfather - in the file, Mary and Catherine are referred to as CARPENTER.
I'm trying to clear up these "little" inconsistences, but more so, I would like to know more about this family, as well as how Solomon CARPENTER fits in. The other lady in the household, Nancy FRAMER, is also unknown.
Any information will be welcome and I have info to share. Thank you!
