It seems to me that the Thomas Butman, born Beverly MA, 13 Jun 1774, could not possibly be the husband of either Mehitable or Lucy, if for no other reason than the fact that his wife Alice was still alive at the time.
But that still leaves open the question as to the identity of the Thomas Butman who apparently first married Mehitable Twiss, and after her death, married secondly Lucy Twiss (perhaps a sister).
Based on chronology, a possible candidate may be the Thomas Butman, son of John and Hannah, born Boxford MA, 29 July 1775.
According to the published vital records of Beverly MA, a Mrs. Lucy Butman died 16 Feb 1843, at age 76, which would put her birth circa 1766 or 1767.
I could find no record of children for Thomas and Lucy in Beverly. However, there were quite a number of marriages of people named Butman in the 1820s, any of which may possibly be the children of Thomas and Lucy.
