Billie, indeed I think there is a false paternity in my Butler line. The Bute County court records are a wealth of information. There is a John, James, Robert, and Christopher Butler living there around my Walker relatives and many of my 12 marker matches. If you remember, 12 marker matches are described as who your family lived by long ago. Well, I find they are the people your family immigrated with, worshipped with, and sometimes married.
It's a well kept secret in genealogy I think, born out of desperation on my part. My DNA matches Thompson, Lamb, and Siniard. I cannot figure out which is the father, but I suspect Thompson so far.
