Del, yes, this is my family.I have much info including some on John that gets a little confusing between two Johns. I cannot find a father and mother for William b. abt 1776. His children state in the census that he was born in North Carolina, one says Georgia. They say Mary was born in North Carolina. What I can tell you is that he is not the son of James William Butler b. Va. and died in Gallia, Ohio as many of the trees say. I think their William was married to Tacy Gray and was younger.
