I don't think you have muddied the waters at all!! My great-uncle Fred Burkitt via the marriage to Allie Sexton would have been born sometime around 1885 give or take a few years. (Allie was born in 1885). They were married in 1904. I will have to check with an older cousin, but the name Clarence has come up as a child of theirs if I remember correctly. Billie and Allie could very easily be confused. The older cousin thinks there is another name they used for Allie. (Our family is a great one for using middle names and nicknames..makes research difficult.) I have information to share about Allie's family if you would like it. I would appreciate any information you can give me about Fred.
