Hi all,

I'm writting a book on the bushranger John Vane and as you probably know he was good mates with both Micky and Jim Burke (cousins). I've visited Micky's grave at Fell Timber and will be going out again soon to perform some restoration work. If anyone wants some photos just let me know. Jim Burke (married Ellen Meyers at Gallymont) lived and died at Scrubby Rush, between Woodstock and Mt McDonald. He's apparently buried at the Mt McDonald cemetery but there's no headstone. In fact there's only about a dozen headstones remaining. I'm keen to put a bit more meat on the bones in relation to the Burkes and am hoping someone here can assist. I'm interested in Patrick Burke who one contributor mentioned also dabbled outside the law. I hadn't heard of that so would like to know more.
