Good to hear from you. The only date I have for him is from his Civil War pension application where he states that he was born in Gilmer Co. Ga in 1838,. Jarrett (Whity) filed for pension twice. The first time under Garret, it was denied, the second # 5541 under Whity, It was also denied. I have a copy of both. He stated that he was conscripted into the 36th Georgia Infantry Co. H. He gives the officers. I have searched the entire 36th for him in every variation of the name he is not listed. His wife Nancy's first husband and 3 of her brothers were in the 36th. Could it be that he steached the truth.?\\ I can't
lay my hands on it tonight, but I did find where he was conscripted into the homeguard. You do know who he married don't you. Nancy is buried at Boyd's Creek Cemetery in Sevier Co. Tn. Do you have much on the other brothers and sisters. I found Benjamin and Gallatin but have not been able to locate what happened the others. I found Father Jarrett's death but lost Stacy and most of the others.
I'll share anything I have got with you.
