I am searching for information on the Duncan Buchanan family (Pierce/Montgomery Counties)- specifically, his son William Henry Buchanan. William served in the Civil War but there is no record of him after 1864 - no discharge, not deceased - just no record.
William was a brother to Janie Buchanan Mallon. I believe that William was the father of my G.Grandmother, Annie Belle (Anna, Bella,) Buchanan b.1865. In the 1880 census, "Bella" Buchanan is found living in the household of William R. Mallon, Pierce Co., Ga. with his wife Janie Buchanan and their children. "Bella" was 15 years old and "keeping house" and also listed as a "Niece". I cannot find anything on my G.Grandmother prior to the Pierce Co, Ga.1880 census. In 1885, my G.Grandmother married into the Cason family. Any help will be appreciated.
