John and Sarah were my Greatgrandparents.They started out in Rockcastle Co,Ky.Moved to Knox Co, Then to Bell co.
They had 9 children

4**Eliza Jane 1880 m James France in1900 in Bell Co, Ky
they had 6 children, all who died as babies except Guy And Clyde.
5Mollie 1871 m ? Wiggins, they lived around Flatlick, Ky.
Her husband or son may of been Homer, and she had a grandaughter named Faye.
6Maggie 1882 m ? Marion, they moved to Indiana,I think they had a son named George.Maggie became somewhat mentally sick,they told me, and she would disappear from time to time,they said she once ended up with amnesia and ended up in Texas.

I know from what I can remember of a young girl that My Mammie France had a nephew called Shamrock Broughton, and he lived in or around Chicago.He last came to visit us about 1975, at that time he was in his 50's or 60's.,maybe 70's
Mollie lived in a white house on a small hill beside the road. We use to sit on her front porch and look down as the cars drove by.
Mammie had a cousin named Maggie Broughton that married a Roark, I think his name was Fred.
I know daddy had a cousin named Millard Broughton in Pineville that ran a little store across from the school,but I don't know who Millard's parents were.
I also know that he had a cousin named Claude Broughton that died in the mid 1970"s from freezing to death living in a camper in Pineville.
I remember being told that Robert's wife Martha was killed by her servants boyfriend and that my daddy got to see the man HANG for it. It was the last hanging in Bell Co, Ky on Jan.30,1911.It was his 7th birthday.
I have but one picture of my grandmother, grandfather,and uncle together.I would love to find family that can tell me who her siblings married, who their children were,and maybe share pictures with me.
John Broughton was the son of Dedrick and Sarah Burton Broughton.Grandson of Woodward and Elizabeth Bluford Broughton and so forth. Hope someone out there can help me.Thank you Arby
