Notes in Baltimore Co. Historical Society/Genealogy from a Bible owned by G. Heddinger:
Married Mary N. [Henshel] Broom on 3-9-1879 in the German Evang Luth Trinity Church of Baltimore. She was born in Baltimore 8-24-1858. Children were Alma Irene [6-25-1881 to 7-2-1882], Harry James [b. 9-1-1883]; William James [b. 8-26-1886] and Walter John [7-20-1890 to 8-6-1890].

In addition a John Dukehart [b 2-3-1866] married Marg. M. Broom 1-10-1894 at the Grace English Lutheran Church in Baltimore.
