I need help with Sarah Jane Mabry b 1852 d 1937, M 1879 to Jonathan Jennings b abt 1803. 1880 Census lists Jonathan 77, wife Jane 26, and stepchildren Mandy Mabry 7, Robert P Mabry 4, Adia Isabelle Mabry 1, and sister as Beatrice Low 13. Robert P later went by Jennnings. I need to find out if Sarah Jane was married before to a Mabry and Low was her maiden name, if she was a Mabry married to a Mabry, or if she had the first children out of wedlock. Did Jonathan adopt all these children? I know from another census Sarah Jane stated she had 6 children with 4 living, (I have only found 5 names)and from another that she had a Sarah I Jennings and Mary Jane Jennings who whas my great grandmother born in 1885, M Willian Novel Grantham. By 1900 Sarah was a widow. My mother (b 1933) remembers going to Uncle Perry's (Robert Perry Jennings)farm, and an Aunt Adie from her childhood. Someone from the family had a distinct facial deformity, and she thinks it may have been Adie. I can't find anything about Manda Mabry(Jennings?) or Sarah I. Jennings.
