I don't know if this is them, but
I once found this record from Sumner Co:
Thomas Brady note $5.50 Inventory of goods of Wm. Brigance(sp?) return 1804.
This could have been an actual Thomas BRADY and I never followed up on whether there was a Brady family living there at the time, but considering how often Thomas' name was written as 'Brady' (He must have had a strong accent or something?) and the time frame was right, I thought this worth noting.
I ran across this while researching another family in Sumner. Had to search through a lot of hand-written notes to find this.
We have that obit of Jacob placing the family in TN starting about 1800. One census has TN as birthplace of John--
b ca 1800, wasn't he? I think the 1850 HCI census also lists Susannah Braden Henson b TN. Don't recall her b yr off top of my head1806 maybe? Thomas Jr would have been born in same time frame but he did not live to 1850 so I don't think any record gives any birthplace for him.
Since they were not in KY or anywhere else that I can find in 1810 , it's a fair guess that they were still in TN then, since there is no 1810 TN available.
Started appearing in Christian Co KY records ca 1812.
Again, I don't know if this is even our guy in Sumner.
