This is the same part of the county where David Bowen's family lived. Benjamin Bowen mentioned in another response was a son of David Bowen. There is a deed that proves the children of David Bowen, but Mayberry was not named. However, a daughter Nancy Bowen m John Sparks. Mayberry was most likely a grandson of David rather than a son.
