I will check out the site you referenced re the Borton, Ill 1910 plat. When my grandmother and I visited in 1963, she reflected on the changes re both Borton and Isabel from the time she last visited family there forty years previous. Obviously, without the railroad/s and the growth of the other towns in the area, there wasn't any justification for the existence of either hamlet.Further, I was saddened by the absence of Jesse Borton's farm house just east of town as it was a very real connection with my Borton ancestors. Thank you again for sharing this more recent information.
