I am looking for a family for Catherine "Kate" BLUE, born about 1760's, Isle of Skye, she traveled to North Carolina on the same ship as John CURRIE, who was born about the same time and locaation. I am guessing this was abot 1774. They were married in Scotland before going to America abt 1774, and their daughter, Nancy Jane, b: 1805 NC, marreid Malcolm CURRIE in North Carolina abt 1815,
Malcolm, a son of John McDONALD and Catherine "Katie" McKINNON, was born 1791 in Moore County, NC. John McDONALD and Kate McKINNON, were both born Isle of Jura or Isle of Skye and were married Dec 1802, in North Carolina.
There is supposed a connection to Flora McDONALD of all of these families, who frequently intermarred in North Carolina.
