Thanks for your reply. Pleasant was thought to have the middle initial R. HE was in Washington Co., Ark in 1850 and it says he was born in KY. In 1860 he was in Crawford Co., Ark and born in TN. In 1870 in Crawford Co. it says he was born in TN. However the death certificates of his children all say he was born in Alabama.His children were: William Francis, Martha E., Benjamin Tarlton,Elizabeth Jane, James M., Ruth Caroline, Mary, John Terrill andJames and Lida(Lydia). His second and third children were named after his wife's parents. I can't help to think that the first and fourth may be his parents-William and Elizabeth.
