If you would like your Blanton lineage, contact me at rbsgenealogy@ameritech.net. I would need the name, approximate year of birth and location of an ancestor who appeared in the 1930 census. If one died in Ky or Tn 1911-1955, you might be able to download his death certificate at www.familysearch.org. It may give his parents.

If your ancestors were from the vicinity of Harlan or Johnson Counties KY, they would be descended from John of Harlan. I have more information on John and William that I can send you. It is not in the book on the Blanton
Family Historians site.
