No one has found the link yet, but it seems likely that his father was John Blanton, the progenitor of the Duplin NC Blantons. There are several possible sons in the 1790 census that have not been identified definitively. He does not appear in the 1800 census, so he may have died or moved to TN or KY, for which the census is not extant. The latter seems likely, since he sold all of his land in 1798.
This family was the only one among the Tidewater Blantons that named children Abraham, Isaac and other Old Testament names. We know that Abraham belongs in this group from DNA testing. The parents of Isaac were reported as born in NC in the 1900 census.
It is possible that he may show up on Duplin tax lists. I have looked at the broken series on microfilm, without any luck. The critical list from the 1790s are not on microfilm. However there are possibly more in the loose papers at the NC Archives.
