I read a reply to a lady looking for Birrells and Bairds in Lanarkshire last year. I am looking for my Baird family, specifically Alexander Baird, b. 1847 in Cambusnethan (possibly!). Is it possible to look him up on an 1851 census CD. Sorry if this is cheeky, but don't know when I will next get up to Scotland. The ironic thing is, I lived in Lanark for 4 years without knowing I was so close to our ancestors!
