I have Luters going as far back as 1753 when my ggggg-Grandfather Giles Luter was born in Va. He later settled in Northhampton County , North Carolina after serving in The Revolution. Luter was changed to Lewter somewhere down the line when a clerical error must have happened. I have quite a bit of info I'm planning on putting in a web site soon.
