My father`s name is John Bidmead. His father
was Leopold. Grandad was from
Newent, Gloucestershire. Our branch of the
family can be traced to Gloucestershire and Somerset for 6 generations. Tradition has been that the oldest son is named John. There is a story about cousin Willie who ran away to London and had a tremendous number of children, by 2 wives. Maybe that`s our connection
