I am trying to find information on Robert "Big Bob" Benn and his ancestors. Robert married Zelah Wilson who was born May 13, 1860 in Sullivan County, Indiana. We do not have a birthdate for Robert but he died in 1917. We do know that Robert & Zelah left their home on the Magdalena Mt in New Mexico on May 1, 1892 and traveled to Oklahoma. They settled in Woodward, OK. They had 3 children: Elsie, Dema and Edna. Robert was the Sheriff of Woodward County, Ok. from 1897 to 1899. We believe his mother was Caroline and he had a sister, Kate, and his family was from New York. Any help with Robert would be greatly appreciated.
