AJ, I am sure that there is a connection,. Could you give me some more information on your Belongia family. You surely know that Belongia is not the only way that the name was spelled.... Belongie, Bellanger, Belanger, Belongey, Belongay,,, etc... Are there other areas that you are aware of that your family came from? The line of Belongia's that are in the area here came to the area from Bay Settlement, Brown Co. They came to that area from Canada. The family of Edward Bellanger did spread out from Brown Co.
