Bobbie June Bellamy

Bobbie June Bellamy died Saturday, January 29, 2005. She was born August 5, 1925 in Point Pleasant, WV. She lived and attended school in Ironton, OH until her marriage. On December 21, 1945 in Ironton, OH she married C. V. (Skeets) Bellamy. They were married for 48 years before his passing in 1992. They moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1946 and then to Rogue River in 1959, where they stayed to the very end, fulfilling their life's dream.

Bobbie was a full-time employee at the Grants Pass Daily Courier from 1963 through 1990. She was active in Scouting, Elks Emblem Club, and many other organizations, but first and foremost being a mother to three sons, supporting their every endeavor and participating and guiding them through life with advice and unconditional love.

She loved to travel and socialize with friends and helping when she could. She was also very thankful to have those same friends, which came to her aid when needed. She enjoyed every minute spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbie is survived by her sister, Mary Pat; three sons, Dan Bellamy and wife Robin, David and Mike Bellamy; 6 grandchildren, Bob, Danielle, Brett, Michelle, David Jr., and Brook; two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who truly loved her.

This was truly a love story, as those who knew Bobbie and Skeets can attest. The 12 long years since his passing were arduous, but she went on never truly thinking of herself and relishing the moment when they would be together again.

Services will be held at Hull & Hull Chapel in Grants Pass on February 4, with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Instead of sending flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
