Thank you for the encouragement. I needed it. It's reassuring to know that someone else has hit a road block in their searches too. By the way, a friend of mine bought a used red Volkswagon covertible from a Police Officer named Huggins, back in the 90s. He was from Canaan, CT. He could be a relative of your line. It was a dependable little car. It served him well for years as he drove it back and forth to his job with the State, from New Britain to Southbury, every day.

Thank you for your assistance. I was going bonkers for a while. I went out today and took a 5 mile hike around the West Hartford reservoir to soothe the soul. I feel better now.
