Thanks so much for your rapid reply. I finally am beginning to put some pieces together. Most of my list of BEBER names came from the 2008 wedding invitation list for my daughter, KATIE BERG, and her husband DERICK WENNING. The BEBER family was totally new to me and I made the mistake of assuming they were a long-time South Louisiana family like the WEBER family. I also was thrown off by the change from Carl Charles BEBER in one generation to Charles Carl BEBER in the next. So you are Terriās uncle and Derick's great-uncle, the brother of his grandmother, Marguerite. Do I have that right?
Can you give me any information about the parents of Carl's wife, Rita Regina Ray? Do you know where she was born or where she and Carl married?
I read your other post regarding the Ship Zeeland. I found the passenger list on Ancestry.com "New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957". The family arrived in 1908 so Carl had not been born yet. The father's name is listed as ANTON BIBER instead of ANTHONY BEBER, but all the children's names and ages match. If you are unable to access the document, I can scan it and email it to you. In looking through various websites, I have found what appears to be the same BEBER family with the surname spelled BEBER, BIBER, BABIR, BEBIR, BIEBER, etc.
It is nice to have located other researchers. Now we can bounce ideas off each other. As the new comer, I feel sure I'll be receiving more ideas than I'm giving.
I live in Shreveport, so I'm not too far from Toledo Bend. Feel free to contact me directly at

Thanks again!
