Thank you atkinsoncanada for your reply. In the time since my post, I did manage to work out the name of Andrew's wife. Thanks for the correct year of Andrew's birth. I noted in the 1901 Census that both Andrew and Adeline were living apart, and that Andrew was "married" to Marion, surname unknown. As you say, he and Marion seem to vanish by the 1911 census. I have a mind to think they may have gone over to Ireland to live. My actual interest is in Andrew's brother Thomas John Atkinson who was born in Barbados about 1863, and baptised at Christ Church, Barbados on 29 October 1863. He was a stock broker in London, and later migrated to Michigan, USA. I have followed him and his family up unto the 1920 Census of the USA, but have not found much on this line after this time.
