I was born in Cottageville and lived there until Sept 1949 when I moved to Ravenel, SC. My paternal aunt (who lived with us) was Ernie Reeves Addison Neese. She was the wife of Sinclair (St.Clair?) Addison who died in 1918 in the Spanish Flu Pandemic. They had 2 Children: Elizabeth (Beth) born May 1918 and Sinclair Jr. born after his father's death))(he died as an infant). Both Sinclair Sr & Jr are buried in "Addison-Rhode Cemetery". Beth graduated from Winthrop Collage, Married Hershel Louis Morningstar, Sr, and made her home in Ehrhardt, SC (Bamberg County). She died about 1970 and is buried in Ehrhardt. She had 2 sons: H. L. Morningstar Jr and George Sinclair Morningstar. I can't remember off-hand Their children's names.
I rmember visiting Miss Georgie's home a couple of times, 1940-50's. I know quite a bit about Cottageville people between 70 and 135 years old.
Who are you? Where do you live? (I live in Charleston, SC). My phone is 843=766-6574 is you would like to have a talk and answer questions.
