The area is right for my Abbotts. John S Abbott b1783 in Delaware. Apparently served in War 1812. Married Elizabeth Morey of NY state. Moved to Ohio around 1830? His son Richard Abbott born Ohio, served CW from Iowa is my ggrandfather. His son named John S married Ester Floyd, and after her death my grandmother Rosa Everett. He and Rosa moved to KS then OK.
The family always repeated the names from generation to generation. I am Henrietta, named
for my grandfather's sister. The Abbotts I've discovered are tall, blond, blue or gray eyes which supports the original Nordic settlements of Delaware. The Floyds were short, dark curly hair, etc.with Scots-Irish background.
