I would like to know more information on the family of Menno Martens Alting (b. 19 Jul 1838 in Sauwerd, Gem Adorp, Groningen, Netherlands; d. 9 Jul 1908 in Muskegon, Muskegon Co., MI) and his wife Hilje R. "Helen" De Wit (b. 11 Jun 1837 in Usquert, Groningen, Netherlands; d. 7 Mar 1906 in Muskegon, Muskegon Co., MI.

Menno is the son of Marten Hindriks Alting (b. 9 Nov 1806 in Winsum, Groningen, Netherlands; d. 8 May 1839 in Sauwerd, Gem Adorp, Groningen, Netherlands) and Aaltjen Feijes Sirks (b. 9 Nov 1806 in Winsum, Groningen, Netherlands; d. 8 May 1839 in Sauwerd, Gem Adorp, Groningen, Netherlands). As far as I have found they had 5 children: Menne Alberts, Jakob Martens, Lambertus Martens, Klaas Martens, and Menno Martens.

Marten Hindriks Alting is the son of Hendrik Geerts Alting and Klaaske Jans Pijp. Aaltjen Feijes Sirks is the daughter of Feije Sirks and Martjen Mennes Rikkerts.
