This is a long shot I realize but would dearly like some help in tracing my father. I understand how difficult this is and have tried even going as far as sending out 30 letters to people all over the Netherlands with the same surname. I received some lovely letters but no luck at all in finding my father.
My fathers name (I hope its correct spelling) is Anthony Peet Kant Bute. I am completely at a loss whether this is hyphenated or whether this is how it would of been written. My mothers name was Marcia Janet Turner (then). Anthony came over to the UK in the early 60s to work on flower nurseries. From what I understand many men and women came over at this time to work as the UK needed more work force. Of course this is only hear say from my family and my grandmother has sadly died and can no longer give me any more details. My mother and I are estranged and she would not help at all with my search. Anyway again from family members who met him at this time...he is about 6ft 5 inches and broad. He was dark and apparently a very nice and gentle giant. My mother and Anthony had a brief and passionate affair and she was left pregnant and unmarried. He wanted to stay in the UK but my mother decided it would be better if he went back to the Netherlands. He did come and see me when I was born but then quickly went back to the Netherlands and had no contact since. I am now a grandmother myself and will be 50 next year so I feel I am running out of time in finding my father or any of my family. I have tried so very many times to search on the internet and in phone books but have come up with zero. If any one has any advice on what i can do to search please feel free to reply.
