I live in Las Cruces, NM. My grandmother, Francesca Barbera, immigrated to Beloit, Wisconsin. Her father, Francesco, had died and her mother remarried to Bartolomeo Bonafede, before they came to WI. They all came from Marsala area. One of my ancestors records say he married in Mazara, but I don't know if that was Mazara del Vallo or Campobasso ? Mazara. All are in Trapani. I went last Christmas -- the area is quite small compared to here.
My great-great grandfather was Carlo Barbera, married Francesca Lamia. His father was Antonino Barbera, married Giuseppa Anastasi.
