Trying to find any record of Colacicco family living in the Cassino area of Lazio, Italy. Capo d'acqua or San Michele may be specific place names.
My father's name was Giuseppe Colacicco, he was born in Candlemaker Row Edinburgh, Scotland in 1904 as the Colacicco's emigrated there early in the 20th Century. (They later returned to Italy.)
His father was called Aniello Colacicco born in 1864 probably in Cassino. He died in 1943 and is buried in Cassino Cemetery.
My father's mother was called Assunta Tedesco probably from the same area. They had several other children one son called Domenico Colacicco, the rest I think were daughters and may have been called Anna Colacicco and Francesca Colacicco. There may have been several other daughters. Some of these offspring settled in the U.S. I would particularly like to find the location of Assunta Tedesco's grave and to see photos of her.
Aniello Colacicco's father was called Domenico Colacicco and his wife was Francesca Lanni. Their regional origin is unclear although there are many people with the Lanni surname in the Cassino area. The Colacicco surname appears also in Calabria near Naples and around Bari in Puglia.
Lots of bits of information, I'm afraid but no connections.
Any info gratefully received. Grazie
