I have posted to you before about my Monti relatives from Ischia. I have found out more information and wondered if it will connect us. My grand uncle was Stanislao Monti from Casamicciola Ischia. His mother was Concetta (nee Mazzella). He had two sisters: Grazia (nicknamed Mottazelle?) and Natalina/Nataline. He also had a brother named Fillipo who Americanized his name to Louie/Louis.
Stanislao came to NYC about 1909 on the ship SS Finland. I was told he was a stowaway. His sister Natalina came in 1912 and his mother, other sister and brother came in 1913.
Stanislao married my grandmother's sister Carmela (Emily) Trani - they had 9 children.
