Tina: Sorry that I have not been in touch before this but have only recently received your inquiry. My gf came from Viggiu Italy with a group of stone cutters to work the granite quarries in Maine in 1888. He was married in Anna Locarni and had children, Joseph, Margaret, John (my father)Victor and Elsie.
He left Maine and settled in Barre Vermont to continue his employment in the stone cutting business.Joseph, Margaret and John were born in Hallowell Maine, Victor and Elsie were born in Barre. I have very little info about his family in Italy, such as brothers and such. His father was Giuseppe (1822)
Brusa m. Giuseppa Checchi. His gf was Antonio Brusa (1780-1854) and gm was Domenica Rizzi. His ggf was Christoforo Brusa and ggm Maria Domenica. That is all the information I have.
