Dear Annette:
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. I visited Roseto in 1985 and loved it. I was only there for a few hours (I was staying with some relatives in the city of Foggia who drove me there), and it was a very emotional experience.
Those relatives included the DeCesare family. My paternal great aunt, Carmela Romano, was married to a Piero DeCesare. Their daughter, Teodora--named after her maternal grandmother--my great-grandmother Teodora Capobianco--is my mother's first cousin.
Teodora DeCesare married a Draisci, but she was widowed about two years ago. She lives in Milan now, where her son Gaetano (Nino) is practicing law. Nino's uncle Gino, also a lawyer, lives in Milano, too.
I would love to have more details of your trip, and you are welcome to e-mail me directly if you wish, at
RosilyRo@aol.comCiao e Buon Natale!
