Dear Lynda:
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I also sent an e-mail to asfg@archivi.beniculturali.it. I wrote in broken Italian and got a response from the director, Dr.ssa (Dottoressa--female doctor or perhaps their equivalent of a Ph.D.) Maria Carolina Nardella. It was in Italian, but she only sent me records of birth of my grandparents. Should I just write to the address:
Archivio di Stato di Foggia
Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi, 31/A
Viale Francia, 16
71100 Foggia
Italy
and should I send an international money order? I can get it at my post office. How much should I send in euros? What should I ask for? I would love to receive information generations back, as you did. Thanks for your advice!
