I am confused now. As I am not sure that that this is my Henry Walter anymore! I have had my nose stuck in the computer for days now and I seem to have lost the link that puts "this" Henry as my grandfather's father! I know that Henry was born in France, I know from the census he spoke French, I know he was born abt 1843 and that he married Paulina Betzel and it was SHE that was born in Alsace and spoke German. Oh the brick wall hurts my head...
