Thank you for responding. I've given copies to numerous govt. officials and also genealogy groups, asking for help. We've been told by relatives that that they did not come in through Ellis Island, but instead came through Canada. My husband spent 10 days in Tavrig and Villnius in August, but as you probably know, any record of Jews living there are scarce. The online translators can't deal with the poor copy quality, so I am told I need to find a person who can read "old style" Russian. My husband teaches at a university in Virginia and the Russian profs could not get enough translated to make sense out of it. Sure wish I had a better copy. Again, thanks so much for writing!!
