Hi Tom,
Thanks for the info. I recently visited the courthouse in Pottsville and have copies of the first two marriages. John and Eva are my great-grandparents. Katie Molishsi/Molishius was Eva's sister. From what we can piece together, two sisters (Eva and Katie) married two brothers (John and Jacob). The third you list is new to me. Not sure if the third is the same Katie. Her fist marriage was to Jacob DRABNIS, her second to Andrew KISELIUS (in 1919). She died in 1922 and her husband Andrew raised her kids. I'll have to dig further to see how this John SUBICR fits in, if he does.
Over the last few years I made contact online with descendants from the lines of 3 DRABNIS men (believed to be brothers) who settled in the Mahanoy City area: John, Jacob, and Adam. We are still trying to piece it all together.
The MOLISHIUS family is even more difficult. I had heard about the CT family (was it you who posted about them on the Yahoo Lithuanian Genealogy Board?), but have not been able to make any connections. Do you know what town in PA William's children were born? We have one bit of info on the region of Lithuania my MOLISHIUS line comes from: "Punsko Parapijos" which is present day Punsk,Poland, only a few miles from the Lithuanian border, 33 km from Kalvarija. Historically is was part of Lithuania and even today is something like 80% Lithuanian speaking.
Have you made contact with anyone in Lithuania? I hope to do so but have more work to do here first.
Perhaps we can tie up some loose ends together...
Cheers,
Becky Davis
