Although its coming forward, they seem to have had a daughter Mary Margaret died 19/02/1982. Loved daughter of Donald & Rachel Forbes.who had a son Brian, but back to your query, although Alexander Forbes was a hotel keeper in Geelong, he may have lived at Essendon at some stage.With Rachels mother also in the hotel trade, perhaps that how the young ones met.Alexander died in 1879 which also fits.
