I live here in the United States: Oregon. I am helping a friend who is trying to research her family. She immigrated as a child on the SS Mariposa from Brisbane, Australia, to the San Francisco, United States, along with her mother and sister Feb. 20, 1946.
Particulars:
Joseph and Ethel Owen, parents of Milred Josephine Owen, were from Brisbane.

They had a daughter named Mildred Josphine Owen b. 17-1-1920 in Brisbane, Australia.
Mildred gave birth to a daughter named Judy in February of 1944.
Mildred married Leonard James Kroblen 23-6-1944 in Hamilton, Australia at the Methodist Church.
Leonard was in the United States Army serving during WWII at the time of his marriage to Mildred.
They had a daughter named Jeanette born in May of 1945.


Judy is looking for any information she can find on her extended family. She is searching for answers concerning her birth.
