I am guessing that the Laidley Pond of 1862 is now called Narda Lagoon. The first settlement was there, and the first house built in 1860. You would have to check land records at Qld Archives, and perhaps if you contact the Pioneer Village, they might be able to help with some local info vlaidley@lvrc.qld.gov.au
